Your safari begins in Zanzibar with a morning transfer to the airport for your scheduled flight to the mainland.
On arrival, you’ll be welcomed by your private Explora V safari guide and begin the journey toward Tarangire National Park. The change of scenery happens quickly — turquoise water and palm-lined beaches give way to open countryside, acacia woodland and eventually the baobab-dotted landscapes of Tarangire.
Once inside the park, begin your first private game drive. Tarangire is particularly known for its elephants, but the park also supports giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, antelopes, lions and an impressive variety of birdlife.
Continue exploring through the afternoon before heading to your accommodation for dinner and your first night on safari.

Depending on wildlife activity and the area you are travelling through, there may be opportunities to encounter lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, cheetahs, hyenas, zebras and wildebeest along the way.

Today belongs entirely to the Serengeti.
After breakfast, set out with your private guide for a full day of game viewing across one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife landscapes.
Rather than following a fixed route, your guide will plan the day around current wildlife activity, seasonal conditions and your interests. You may spend time searching for lions, leopards and cheetahs, watching elephants moving across the plains or simply stopping to appreciate the enormous landscapes that make the Serengeti so distinctive.
Depending on the season and location of the herds, there may also be opportunities to encounter wildebeest and zebra associated with the Great Migration. Their movements are natural and constantly changing, so no particular migration sighting can be guaranteed.
Because the vehicle is private, the pace remains flexible. When you find something worth watching, there is no need to rush away.

Begin the final day of your safari with an early breakfast before descending into Ngorongoro Crater.
The crater floor contains grasslands, woodland, wetlands and freshwater areas supporting a remarkable concentration of wildlife. During your game drive, you may encounter lions, elephants, buffaloes, wildebeest, zebras, hippos, hyenas and numerous bird species.
Ngorongoro is also one of the areas in Northern Tanzania where there is a possibility of seeing the endangered black rhino, although wildlife sightings are always determined by nature.
After your crater experience, ascend the crater walls and continue toward the airport for your scheduled flight back to Zanzibar, according to the confirmed flight arrangements.
On arrival in Zanzibar, your safari comes to an end — and the Indian Ocean takes over again.
