From Tarangire, continue across the highlands toward the Serengeti, where two days allow time to explore beyond a single game drive. The safari continues to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Tanzania’s most remarkable wildlife environments. After breakfast, meet your private safari guide and depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park, beginning your journey through Tanzania’s Northern Circuit.
Tarangire is known for its ancient baobab trees, sweeping savannah and the Tarangire River, an important water source for the park’s wildlife. The park is particularly celebrated for its elephants, often seen moving through the landscape in family groups.
Spend the day exploring in your private safari vehicle. Alongside elephants, keep watch for giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo and a variety of antelope, while predators such as lions and leopards may also be encountered.

After breakfast, continue toward Serengeti National Park, travelling through the changing landscapes of northern Tanzania and across the Ngorongoro highlands.
As you approach the Serengeti, the highland scenery gradually gives way to the expansive grasslands for which the ecosystem is famous. Once inside the park, the journey becomes part of the safari, with opportunities to encounter wildlife as you continue toward your accommodation.
Spend the afternoon exploring with your private guide, keeping watch for resident wildlife and predators across the plains.

Today is dedicated entirely to exploring the Serengeti.
With your private safari vehicle and guide, the day remains flexible. Rather than following a rigid route, your guide can plan the game drive around wildlife movements, seasonal conditions and activity on the ground.
The Serengeti supports an extraordinary diversity of wildlife. Keep watch for lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas and numerous antelope species as you explore its different habitats.
Depending on the season and location, there may also be opportunities to encounter concentrations of wildebeest and zebra associated with the Great Migration.
Enjoy lunch during the day before continuing your exploration into the afternoon. Travelling privately gives you greater freedom to spend more time at interesting sightings and experience the Serengeti at a comfortable pace.
Return to your accommodation later in the day for dinner and another evening in the Serengeti.
